Edenly is a dating app for adults. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) material and conduct of every kind, without exception and regardless of the jurisdiction a person is in. This page sets out the standards we hold ourselves to and how we enforce them.

Adults only

Edenly is available to people aged 18 and over. A date of birth is required to create an account, and registration is refused outright if it puts the person under 18. An account we find to belong to a minor is removed; the person is not offered a correction.

What is prohibited

• Any depiction of a minor in a sexualised context, real or generated.
• Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes.
• Sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAE material.
• Presenting oneself as a minor, or seeking a partner presented as a minor.
• Trafficking, or advertising the sexual services of any person.

Reporting, inside the app

Every profile and every conversation carries a report action. Among the reasons a person can choose is “Appears to be under 18”, listed alongside sexual content and harassment. No account, no explanation and no contact with us is required to use it — one tap from the profile is enough.

Members can also block another person outright, which removes them from view and ends any conversation immediately.

How we act on a report

• Reports naming a suspected minor are treated as the highest priority and are reviewed by a person, not automatically.
• An account under review is suspended while we look at it, rather than after.
• Confirmed violations lead to permanent removal of the account and its content.
• Apparent CSAE material is preserved as required by law, reported to the competent authorities, and referred to NCMEC where applicable.

Before a photo is ever seen

Every photograph uploaded to Edenly is reviewed before anyone other than its owner can see it. A new photo is not visible in search, in matches, or on a profile until a moderator has approved it. This is not a spot check applied to a sample; it is the default state of every image on the service.

Verification

Accounts are confirmed by email address, and members may additionally verify themselves with a photograph, which is checked by a moderator. Verified members can choose to be shown only to other verified members.

Compliance

We comply with applicable child protection law in the jurisdictions where Edenly is available, and with the child safety requirements of the app stores that distribute it. We keep our moderation practice under review and will amend these standards as the law and our practice develop.
